Yeah, I think I must have been unclear… IMHO it was smart poker to lay the hand down which is why I did what I did; but the hard part, or the tough decision so to speak, was due to the ‘streak’. Would it hold up or would it run out? I had been so hot with K’s all night it was extremely hard to imagine it playing out either way – I couldn’t see loosing but I couldn’t see winning Very hard to play smart when you've been that hot with those cards I wish to hell I played that smart all the time

Meanwhile I am thinking I am good, but then she comes over the top all in on the first friggin hand! I go to the tank for at least ten minutes. I'm sure the other players are wondering what is wrong with me. Finally I muck and turn over my Ks sort of like justification for my dramatic first hand pause. The lady who came over the top on me thankfully showed aces and I had several players say it was an amazing laydown. In the meantime I text Bluffman and skidoc from my lap in the chair until the tourny director told me my hands would be dead if I didn't stop. It makes for a great flashback. I laid down pocket Ks the first hand of my first event of the WSOP.

^^^Anyway...aside from that particular scenario. I would NEVER lay down pocket Ks preflop like the guy in the article said he should have done and once he flopped the set..... I dunno. Well, never is a strong word. If Sippowitz is in front of me and re-raises then I may lay down.

Would you lay down Ks preflop?

I wouldnt lay um down pre. Nice fold after the flop jen. If no ace floped im positive i would of called. Nice read!!
