top pair, Q kicker.....bet it hard on the flop and it would have likely been down to two handed......but if it was me the ACE would have called anyway and won

I know this is a very old thread, but it was at the top...

Small Tip: If you want an honest analysis of the hand, leave out the results. Even better, cut it off at the place you get stuck.

Moving on...I like the raise PF in mid position with KQ. Sadly, that's the only thing I really like. I don't like the call on the flop at all. You raise with KQ, hit top pair/good kicker only to call a flop bet? Unless you're planning on getting it in on the turn, I don't like the call. If you think you're beat/unsure, it's a clear fold. If you think you have the best hand here, it's a raise. I like a call if you were trapping the player, but seeing at it was 4-handed, trapping is out of the question. So, the question is 'what were you trying to achieve with just a call on the flop?'

Another Tip: Have pre-made plans before you do any action. Meaning, if you call a bet: What do you do if you hit the flop? What if you miss? If you plan to raise: What do you do if your opponent reraises? What do you do if your opponent calls and you miss the flop? Etc. You won't know what comes, but it's good to have that plan and to able access possible situations beforehand.

This probably wont get a reply from OP and that's cool. Hopefully it's a cool .02 for other readers.
    Never be afraid to lose.
