I do believe the post was intended to help count your outs and calculate implied odds. The article was copied from another site and the title was corrected.

Or did you mean Outs / Equity to win the hand in your initial post?
Wow, if you really can't see the connection there...well...I just don't even know what. But I do appreciate the irony.

And as long as we're at it, what kind of warped poker do you play where you can possibly "have to" pay 700 into a pot of 250?

KMan, as Jen stated above already, the original post has nothing to do with calculating pot odds. Pot odds is a term used for the chip / money ratio that you have to pay in a pot and has nothing to do at all with your Outs or Implied Odds (because that was actually explained in the original post).

The example given above for pot odds were to highlight the significant difference between non existing and profitable odds to call and make it a +EV play in the long run. The first one with 700 to pay into a pot of 250 may seem weird to you, but it does actually happen in tournament play, especially in lower stakes.

Thanks for the opportunity to talk poker on LPP though, appreciate it.

    Except that it's impossible.

Talk about burying the lead! Seems there's a pretty interesting (even if likely tragic) story to explain why you couldn't get to 23.
