    Bounty Hand from 10/17

    Hey everybody,
So last night was the bounty game and I decided to hop in it as kind of a spur of the moment kinda thing. Played pretty well for the first 45 minutes and completely self destructed in the last 10-15.
So I thought I would try that whole turn lemons into lemonade idea and make a little piece on what not to do. I don't think I could have played this hand any worse than I did.

    HAND 1:
    Everleaf Gaming Game #208892645
    ***** Hand history for game #208892645 *****
    Blinds 50/100 NL Hold'em - 2010/10/18 - 01:55:01
    Table 1
    Seat 7 is the button
    Total number of players: 7
    Seat 2: LPBatgirl218 ( 4395 Chips )
    Seat 3: ABES ( 1485 Chips )
    Seat 4: ColdCase ( 3005 Chips )
    Seat 5: scbigluv ( 1500 Chips )
    Seat 6: kdlmn ( 3880 Chips )
    Seat 7: CJDavis ( 3040 Chips )
    Seat 8: WinJStar ( 1085 Chips )
WinJStar: posts small blind [ 50 Chips]
    LPBatgirl218: posts big blind [ 100 Chips]
    ** Dealing down cards **
    Dealt to LPBatgirl218 [ Jh, 3d ]
Ok so I just became chip leade of the bounty game and I get dealt trash in the big blind and promptly check the auto check/fold button. However....
    ABES folds
    ColdCase folds
    scbigluv folds
    kdlmn folds
    CJDavis calls [ 100 Chips]
    WinJStar calls [ 50 Chips]
    LPBatgirl218 checks
If I was thinking clearly (which I wasn't at all) CJ's limp on the button should have set off a red flag. CJ is one of the textbook TAG regulars of the site ( running 17/5 4.25). WinJ can and will step out of character when it's in her best intrest and with getting 5-1 on her money a whole lot of hands become playable. WinJ runs similar stats to CJ for the last two months. Which is odd cause her VPIP has fallen off in from a lower 20 to 17 for the last two months.
    ** Dealing Flop ** [ Kd, Jd, Jc ]
So I like this flop...I could win someones stack if Jen or CJ got cute with AK...CJ limps does mean a big hand KQo perhaps, I think this flop missed Jen entirely, she's raising to protect her big king.
So thinking this flop probably missed everyone or someone hit a king I decide to lead out.
    LPBatgirl218: bets [ 300 Chips]
    This is promptly followed by...
    CJDavis calls [ 300 Chips]
Which again if I had followed my own scouting report on CJ should indicate a big hand. The only thing I have going for me right now is that the fact that CJ is likely to get stubborn with KQ , AK, I think she re-raises with AJ because the board is so draw heavy. All of this is running through my head and I realize Jen hasn't made a move. and she's short stacked....both not good signs.
Now Jen is hard to put on a hand because she CAN play loose although lately she hasn't and she's not dumb so she wont fold 5-1 pot odds with much, and she will push with a big draw (something like AT diamonds or any other straight/flush combo). I also know Jen could very well be multi tasking like a mo fo and this could all mean nothing.
    WinJStar folds
    ** Dealing Turn ** [ 7s ]
So this is without a doubt a brick. Unless CJ had 77, which is not possible. While she could have limped in with it. I don't see her calling a pot bet with a TAG to act behind her who is short stacked and three overs on the board. So I think about it, I mean it's probably going in CJ obviously caught something here and for some reason I can't think of anything except KQo or TT. Looking back on it I think it was too early for her to be stubborn with seeing as how we were both deep. She doesn't play draws big or small too agressively and I really think she would pop me back on the flop with any jack. So since I am pretty much going to let my stack ride on this hand I opt for a check raise situation.
    LPBatgirl218 checks
    CJDavis: bets [ 400 Chips]
That's a very deceptive little bet by CJ which does make me think my jack is good and puts another vote in for KQo or TT. So I decide to shove
    LPBatgirl218 raises [ 3,995 Chips]
    And instantly...
    CJDavis calls [ 2,240 Chips]
    ** Dealing River ** [ Td ]
    LPBatgirl218 shows [ Jh, 3d ] three of a kind, jacks
CJDavis shows [ Kh, Js ] a full house, jacks full of kings
CJDavis wins 6180 chips from main pot with a full house, jacks full of kings [ Kh, Kd, Js, Jd, Jc ]

So yeah thats about as horrible of a hand that I have played on this site....

What did Jess learn last night?
Jess learned not to bring a shit hand against a TAG who called the flop with a player left to act.

If I may butt in CJ

    TAG = "Tight Aggressive Player"
17 = Vollantary (sorry for the spelling) percentage of preflop action
    5 = Probably preflop raise %
    4.25 = Aggression factor

She's getting all this information on her Tournament Indicator software

True on every count. I spend about 25% of every online game really focused on the game. I wish Tournament Indicator could evaluate my live games. Live is the only time I am 100% focused, unless its a charity gig in which case its all about networking and rebuys "for the cause".

Yes Stevie is right sorry CJ I kinda get lost in lingo sometimes. Its the poker geek in me.

First off I would like to say there's nothing wrong with being a TAG. TAGs kill online small stakes games, it's my mode of choice more often than not. There TAG and LAG Tag is Tight AGgressive and LAG is Loose AGgressive.

A LAG would be like: Tom Dwan, Gus Hansen. um to localize memberr is pretty LAGgy 23 can be kinda LAGgy...

And yes I loves my Tournament Indicator (and Hold 'em, and Omaha and Stud Indicators). But all it does is keep stat tracks and M zones and it shows you some other nifty things but it's not something that will flash "BET 4500 HERE" or something. It just gives you data, you still have to figure out what it means. It keeps lifetime stats on everyone you play and break it down by month or so which is how I knew Jen has tightened up the last two months. Her chart indicated that. I got all mine free by making fake FTP accounts (shhhh). But I can assure after three years with TI I swear on my soulless soul there is no malware or spyware or happy bunny porn or anything else.

If people are into the software and get it I can make some posts on how I use it and what I think are important stats and not so important?

Stevie you nailed the Tournament Indicator pretty quickly....does that mean we actually have something in common besides contempt for the other?

OMG ! I am mortified !.. For the first time in my life I am left nearly speechless... After all the nice things I have done for you. You have contempt for me???????. Quiet, shy unassuming Stevie ??.. The same Stevie that calls you lovely sweet pet names, that sends you flowers to make you smile, that makes you a Star in one of the hit video's on LPP ??? and this is how you repay me ????. I really don't know what to say other than I'm shattered, hurt and now highly emotional

Na, it's all good, You're not alone... 99.999999% of the forum members have contempt for me as well - I'm used to it
