I like 2 buck Chuck. Not kidding. Charles Shaw makes a wine available at a chain of supermarkets called 2 buck Chuck. Its actually 3 bucks here in Nevada.

Attached is an article on the Wine Cult known as 2 Buck Chuck!

You sound like you aren't into the 'dry' wines......and you would like more of a 'late harvest' ie a sweet and fruity red wine.....I love sweet reds....so my pick would be a Pieroth brand which I have regularly with red pasta dishes

    Bor Forras - 2005 Hajos-Baja
    Product of Hungary
    Bottled by Ferdinand Pieroth

Pieroth is a German company who distribute all over the world, I order mine from Sydney Australia, but I'm sure you would be able to find somewhere locally you can get it.....

I found some on ebay in the USA ....
2005 BOR FORRAS is a surprising and unusual red wine from Hungary that will compliment almost any meal. The flavors of soft cherries, robust strawberries and hints of chocolate dominate this wine. Serve at room temperature with dinner or cold with a chocolate dessert. http://cgi.ebay.com/2005-Bor-Forras-...ayphotohosting
