    NHL Hockey

Buffalo and Anaheim seem to be the class of the league so far this year. How can it be that a team inspired by a Disney movie can be 20-2???

And it sucks that they are in the same division as the Sharks. San Jose is doing pretty well though at 19-7 and coming off a great win in Detroit!!!

I've been a Flyers fan my entire life. When you're from Philadelphia, it's in the blood. It really is too bad that they really suck this year. What the hell was Bobby Clarke thinking???

Im still waiting to see them win a Stanley Cup, but everytime I think they may have a good year, they get a shit load of Injuries. They havent done to bad this year, but they are certintly not consistant.

Leafs Recored 13 wins 10 losses 5 OT

Hockey kinda broke my heart during the last strike and I've never fully recovered. That said, I've been to the Saddledome three times this year and the Calgary Flames are 3-0 in those games.

Spending my teens in Ontario during the early-mid 80s, I developed an intense hatred for the Leafs. Nothing like being forced to wtach them lose every Saturday night for eight years while good teams were playing elsewhere to build up some resentment. I had no idea how good the Oilers dynasty was with Gretzky and company until moved back out here and started to see some games featuring teams that weren't the Leafs. To this day, I can still plan on skipping the early game on the Saturday double-header, 'cuz it is ALWAYS the fucking Leafs game and never the Canadiens or the Senators. Well, unless either of them is playing the Leafs. Stupid CBC.

    'Kay. Done ranting for now...

I have had the privilege of actaully living in a lot of places and Calgary actually was one. I have to say, the year they were in the Final was off the hook! I lived right on 4th & 22nd in Mission (walking distance to the Red Mile and the Saddledome) and it was intense. Roads closed every night, girls flashing their tits and camel toes with complete abandon. There is still a web site to help relive those beautiful nights http://www.areagirls.com/flamesgirls-com/index.php

I also lived in Edmonton & Vancouver last year during their respective playoff runs and I have to say, Edmonton's Whyte Ave. was pretty crazy, but nowhere near the Calgary run. Vancouver was pretty chill (I think it's because of all the they smoke)

I also had the sheer luck of living in Toronto during their 2 World series wins back in the early 90's (I know it's not hockey) and it truly was the most surreal things I ever experienced in sports. The streets were so full of people I was "floating" down Yonge St. My feet were off the ground, my hands were full of beer, and I was amidst one of the craziest street parties ever!

I have to say...Canadians are pretty nutzo when it comes to their hockey. GhostFromThePast, I have a friendly wager with Travis Knight (XXX star) that your Flyers will not make the playoffs. If they do, I will wear a Flyers jersey to a home game of my fav team. Trust me...I won't be wearin' no stinking Flyers jack-o-lantern jersey this year!!! lmao

Are they even using a goalie this year or are they going with the 6 attackers strategy?? hahaha like a hotdog down a hallway...lmao

Toronto is 2-7-1 in their last ten! Not a good sign for the Laffs!

Now if Calgary can learn to win on the road, they should be fine. Nice to see their number one line clicking in the last month or so!

Nice game by the Sharks tonight...3-1 win over the Nashville Predators as the Cheechoo train got untracked. Jonathan Cheechoo 2 goals plus an assist and Joe Thornton assisted on all 3 goals for San Jose.

Sharks inprove to 21-9...Nashville falls to 18-8-3.
