I was reading a story on Tim Tebow and his troubles adapting to the pro game. And that got me to thinking about how past Heisman winners have done. It looks like QB'S have won it the most recently and the majority have bombed except for Carson Palmer. You have names like Matt Leinhart, Jason White, Eric Crouch, Chris Weinke, Danny Weuffel, Charlie Ward, Gino Torretta, Ty Detmer and Andre Ware. Add Palmer into that group and that is all of the QB'S that have won it since 1987. And going over the rest of the list and there is not many star QB'S except for names like Hornung, Staubach, and Plunkett. Other positions have had more success but it still not a guarranty that they are going to be succesful. The point I was getting to before I started to ramble is after Tim Tebow's performance today that he has a long road ahead of him.
