Not the University of Montana Grizzlies, they average 25,000 fans and have a television. But you are right, the other 1-aa team in Montana only averages only 4500. The funny thing is both schools are ran in the same system. The grizz just lost there coach and the new coach could not be paid more than the coach at the other Montana school. This really limited them to who they could get. They interviewed the defensive coordinator from Wisconsin and the offensive coordinator from Alabama. But neither would take the job becuase of the money. They ended hiring a guy that has no head coaching or coordinator experience. The Griz won more games than other team at any level from 2000-2009, thats why they average 25,000 fans a game. Thats alot of money going into the university system, you would figure the board of regents would pony up the money to get a coach to keep them at that level. Only time will tell!

My 1-AA college averages about 15000 per game, airs 2 or 3 games a year, and runs the program at a net loss... while offering zero scholarship dollars whatsoever! I would say only about 5 or 10 football programs make money, although Montana might be one of them. The top programs like Delaware, App State, Montana, UMass, et al. do OK. Most of the 1-AA stadiums don't even seat 20000. The biggest 1-AA around me (which has 6 players in thr NFL right now) just got discontinued for financial reasons.

I like black pugs and I cannot lie...

    Lex Hilliard rb Dolphins
    Dan Carpenter k Dolphins
    Cory Proctor ol Cowboys
    Colt Anderson s Vikings
    Colin Dow ol Bengals

I read something about Montana joining the WAC if they start a couple more sports programs and do a few other things

but the Bull Crap System.......it just that.....they could easily have a 4 team play-off to start with expansion from there..with more and more money for the greedy money grubbing schools

I know that even with a 4 team play-off some undefeated non-power six conference school can get screwed...but its a start
