The growth has taken place despite every effort by Republicans to stop every little thing this administration has done. The idea that businesses are "sitting on their hands" because of regulations is complete and utter bull shit.

The fact is that this country was crashing to the ground at super sonic speed. The stimulus worked at not only stopping that fall but reversing it. The only reason things are recovering so slowly is because the President gave in to the Republicans and didn't push through the size of stimulus that was really needed.
^^^ Also your opinion and also wrong.

The only reason the recovery is there at all, is because the U.S. came to their senses and started voting Conservatives into office and stopped the unmitigated train wreck that is Liberal policy. Scott Walker anyone? Taking over the house? If it wasn't for the change in direction over the last two years, we'd really be fucked.

Yeah, you see how popular Scott Walker's become in his state, he wont be around long. Just like so many of his adminitration that's been arrested lately. LOL

The country is starting to see the error of their ways by voting in all these "Teapublicans", they're all owned by the Koch Bros. and they, like Scott Walker, wont be around much longer.

pretty far reaching blanket statement with no citation Frank. i suppose we could just take your word for it, but you made that quite difficult with your next statement and it's faulty assumption.

The fact that the country is moving in the right direction, albeit not as quickly as everyone would like, has got to be driving you guys absolutely crazy(well, more crazy than you already are lol).

you assume obama has helped. how nice. that's despite the fact that most past recoveries have been much quicker and stronger. granted every recession/depression is a little different, but to make a blanket assumption that this one was so terrible that special circumstances apply is a stretch. please show cause and effect for obama's economic policy driving our very weak recovery. many who are smarter than either you or i believe the tepid recovery is due to obama's policy impeding the typical upswing in economic activity that normally happens after recession/depression rather than siad policies actually helping.

when the job growth is not even enough to keep up with population gain it's not really "growth" now is it?

actually it was TARP that "prevented" the financial meltdown and that was designed by and signed into law by the guy who was in office before Obama ;-)

Speaking of Walker, here is an article about the goings on in Wisconsin that makes sense to me.

    Who’s progressive in Wisconsin

a few points from the article...

The furious drive to oust Walker is the sequel to last year’s dramatic battle over his plan to limit collective bargaining by public-sector unions. Walker won that fight, despite tumultuous pro-union demonstrations in and around the state capitol and a boycott of votes on the bill by the Democratic minority in the legislature.

For public-sector unions, the Walker recall is no mere exercise in payback. The unions, upon which Democrats depend heavily for funding and foot soldiers, say Walker must be ousted and his reforms reversed for the sake of the middle class. Progressive values — even democracy itself — are in mortal danger.
Actually, the opposite is true. The threat to such progressive goals as majority rule, transparent government, a vibrant public sector and equality comes from public-sector unionism.

Of course, collective bargaining in the public sector is inherently contrary to majority rule. It transfers basic public-policy decisions — namely, the pay and working conditions that taxpayers will offer those who work for them — out of the public square and behind closed doors. Progressive Wisconsin has a robust “open meetings” law covering a wide range of government gatherings except — you guessed it — collective bargaining with municipal or state employees. So much for transparency.

Even worse, to the extent that unions bankroll the campaigns of the officials with whom they will be negotiating — and they often do — they sit on both sides of the table.

Which brings us to equality. To be sure, public-sector pay and perks hardly put union workers in the 1 percent. But their clout enables them to enjoy retirement and health-care benefits that are often better than those available to the middle-class citizens whose tax dollars support them. What’s fair about that?
Last year’s battle left Wisconsin’s electorate deeply polarized. Recent polls show residents evenly split on recall. But the recall election is not a simple up-or-down vote on Walker; he’ll face a Democratic challenger. In the only poll to pit him against named opponents, Walker beat each one.

That's your oppinion, and in my oppinion, not a very good one.

I love the Democrats 'each way betting menality'. Anything good that happens -credit goes to Obama, anything bad -blame the Republicans for stopping Obama doing good. Win both ways.
