I don't get it, and I really wish many more didn't get it!
I don't think it's complacency at all. I think it is simple really. You have to build consensus. How can you build consensus for radical change when so many are opinionated to one side or the other?

MF might even have some grand ideas, but he talks like he's so much smarter than everyone else that it completely turns everyone else off from what ever it is he is trying to say. As if his bundle of big words in incoherent sentences had real meaning, nobody will pay attention to someone talking down to them like they are stupid.

that won't build consensus, that won't bring real change.

dropping party labels and discussing real issues and real solutions is the only productive thing to do, yet those of us with an opinion and that have put any thought into it at all continue to argue over which party is right when we all realize that they are the same.

No doubt you and MF are much smarter than me, hell, I was lucky to get out of high school...

I'm trying to read outside the lines, but you both say very similar things, it's not right or left, never has been never will be. I don't agree with everything MF says, no more than I agree with everything you say Curt. I think from a big picture the three of us would agree the whole thing is really fucked up, how it needs to change is the question, can we do anything to make a difference? All I can do is keep talking about how the whole thing is a mess with all favor leaning towards those in office. The best idea I've read from you was after one term vote them out regardless of party, take their power away!

Guess I agree with Sky, " the whole thing is really fucked up" I wish I did know the answer, but where we are headed is not a good thing for America, and for once, I am not blaming Obama ( you may want to take note of that, cause I certainly do not agree with much he says ) This mess has been a mess, and not sure any one person can straighten it out. We did not get here overnight, and, even if we get on the right path, it will take many many years to correct the bad decisions that have been made.
