Just another example of a man completely lacking in courage of conviction
i just wish he had the guts to say that he's only religious when it benefits him. IMO the only god he worships is himself!
what matters most in life is honesty. it's never wrong to do the right thing.
Isn't everyone (who's religious) only religious because it benefits them? (in their own minds lol)

You have to remember that religion is man-made. Many people were indoctrinated into their religions as children.
I was brought up under the Church of England but since my parents were not fanatics I have found my own way and my own beliefs have evolved over time. I'm very spiritual and don't align myself to the Abrahamic God of the Jews/Christians/Muslims or the Gods of other religions. My God is THE God who people have tried over millenniums to put a name to or names of facets to. Why? Because the omnipotent power is beyond the comprehension of us mere mortals but we do want to understand. Acceptance is what is needed. For the more one learns one discovers there is much much more to learn. It's a great journey!
I can remember a religious leader once telling me he found many people picking a subsection of a faith because it suited them (the religious side of the faith: it's rites, rituals, sanctions etc) so that goes some way in what you're saying. IMO to truly find God goes beyond all that.

Agree with you to a certain extent- but a quick perusal of islam will tell you that every child is born muslim- but some by false teaching are then hoodwinked into 'false' religions. That is why those born of a muslim father and attending a muslim school at an early age who then deliberately tuen their back on the one true god allah are given the death sentence.
