    What Next For McCain?

John McCain was booed by his own supporters at a rally today for doing an "about face" of sorts on Obama. McCain stated that you don't have to be afraid of an Obama Presidency, that he respects Obama and his accomplishments, and asked that his supporters be more respectful of Obama.

I have to admit that John McCain gained alot of respect from me for doing this.

However, after the past week or so of trying to destroy Obamas character, and to now contradict himself, where does he go from here?

He was compelled to do so. It got way out of hand.
He had no choice but to chill the crackpots down.

Happy he did it, but he shouldn't of started the mudslingin.'

I agree, he would never have had to defend Obama had he not insinuated the things he has in the first place.

I think he was taking too much heat for the attack ads and this was his attempt at getting away from that. Yet another swerve by the McCain camp.
