Waterboarding AKA Torture ... Does it work?

I recall that nothing ever came from waterboarding confessions. I remember that all of the confessions were false made up to stop the torture or give information that the torturers wanted to hear.

Can anyone produce one confession that lead directly a terrorist activity.

Did the torture give the name of the courier that was meeting with Bin Laden. I'm under the impression that it took 9 month to get it right.

You can only recall what you've been told unless you were present. You've seen over the last few days your Government is unable to tell the truth (I'm not singling them out- obvious Pakistan unable to tell the truth, or UK) so whose lies do you believe.

    Does torture work?

Complicated answer... In short, "yes, but ONLY if done properly".

You can't just round up "suspects" and torture them untill they talk, because eventually they'll admit to anything... (TORTURE: Bush, you were doing it wrong)

HOWEVER, if you're extracting information from a person whom you KNOW has the specific information you need, then yes, in MOST situations it can be very effective. (But STILL wrong) provided that
    1. Require SPECIFIC information you KNOW the suspect possesses.
    2. You cause pain or discomfort with an offer of cessation. (And they believe you)
    3. You cause no permanent disabling physical injury.
Good luck, Be well, and see ya'll round,
    D

I think it works and have no problem with it if some one does harm to America and our people. Had to laugh when Savannah said "Torture, Bush did it wrong", that would mean Obama did it right, too fucking funny.

Did Obama's administration torture people and if you say they did can you provide proof or backup your statement, IE a quote say from Obama or one of his top aids.

here's something for you Moab . . . . . Did Clinton have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinski? "Well that depends on your definition of sex"

So just as Bill can claim he didn't have sex with Monica, so too can Geo claim he didn't have anyone tortured. It's all semantics anyway.

Once you get that job, you not only realize how much power you have, but how much you like it. And you also realize that things you thought your predecessor could have done differently couldn't really be done differently after all

heads or tails, it still the same dirty coin passed from one hand to another, only gawd knows where it's been

There were stains on the blue dress .. Bush publicly supported torture as did his cabinet and adviser attorney.

I'm asking a simple question ... on point .. did Obama get his information on the where abouts of bin Laden from his administration direct involvement in torture. Yes or no, if yes produce the evidence like cum on the blue dress or cum on Osama's throb or ghutra ...

my point is that you are making a semantic argument that waterboarding is torture. Geo didn't support torture, he supported enhanced interrogation techniques like waterboarding.

AKA torture ... you call it what you like ...

I'll make you a deal ... really ... let's setup a meeting in Pikes Place you come to my place on BI, where I hand cuff you and where my brothers help me water board you until you confess it's torture and then suck a dick in public. Then we'll go play golf at wing point.
