    Don't tease me with Mitch......

I'm still sore he got out. That was my first choice over six months ago.

Do you still have that bet down on Santorum. I think he was over 40+ to 1 or something at the time I thought that was a huge overlay. I'm still not sure whether he has a shot, but the odds should be a bit more normal for him. I'd be placing him at 4 to 1.

Huntsman may have a pretty good showing in NH, but that's about the only trick that pony has. It might be the same with Santorum and Iowa.

Right now, everything's hanging on who the Republican's don't want as the Nominee. They keep trying to find someone other than Romney. As chaff gets separated out, it's going to be curious to see where the support sifts. I keep thinking that Romney will pick up some, Paul will pick up a bit, but the majority will shift to the others.

At the end, I think you're going to be looking at Romney, Paul, and ????????.

Perry stepped on his dick too many times during the debate. If he would have done good in them, it would have been his race. But a stuttering Texan brought back too many bad memories. Even if the Republicans agreed with his positions and his results, that was too much to overcome.

Newt has similar problems, I don't see capable of another charge. He's shown too many crybaby tendencies in the last two weeks. I expect a few more ups and downs, but I don't think he's got the legs for the long run. His latest fuck up of not focusing on the correct fight will probably finish. For some reason he decided that he needed to try and crush Romney while making goo goo eyes at Santorum. Wrong. He's not going to pick up support from the Romney supporters. He needed to pick it up from everyone else. Specifically, the Santorum surge.

Paul is a wish that many on the right hope for, but they realize it just isn't a practical choice. I see him picking up a little support here or there, and his biggest contribution to the Primary races is that he will probably hand Romney the nomination by sticking around in the race. The longer he hangs around, the longer it's going to be before the anti-Romney camp can solidify behind a choice. Right now, they're split fairly evenly between Paul, Santorum, and Gingrich, with a few dribs and drabs hanging on to Perry, Huntsman, etc...

Christie is done, done, and done. He's out stumping for Romney, jumping in now won't happen. I haven't seen a thing on Mitch, but I haven't been looking. I'd really like to see him jump in, but I don't think so. Jeb would REALLY make things interesting. REALLY REALLY interesting. But I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm hoping it's Santorum, he's that works the best for me of the remains.

I think the biggest question that needs to be asked of all the candidates is: Can you deliver Florida, Pennsylvania, and Ohio? Whichever candidate can do that is the one that should be the choice.

I don't think that Hillary as VP will make much difference. She only brings NY and the rabid liberals as a VP nod and he's already going to get those.

Now if he picked her as the VP candidate and then announced that he only had 12 months to live, that might work.

lmao- as I've also been reading that it's Michele who calls the tune; I didn't think he'd be allowed.

Romney won't have a problem in the General election. Believe it or not, his polling against Obama in Florida, Ohio, and Penn is almost identical with Gingrich and Santorum, plus he's a little stronger in Nevada and Colorado. If he can take those states in the general he wins.

And the hits just keep coming. Santorum opponents started in on him being Opus Dei yesterday. This story has been floating for about 2 weeks now, but it's been mostly subdued and without any real punch. However, now the lame stream media has made a connection they feel they can go with. Namely, that Opus Dei has help financially back a private school that Santorum's boys went to.

Now the curious part of this isn't so much that they've linked Santorum with Opus Dei, but how they try to paint Opus Dei. Specifically, that they link Opus Dei with Dan Brown's book, and the Ron Howard movie "The Da Vinci Code". The portrayal of Opus Dei is less than stellar in the movie, and more than a little exaggerated. To paint Santorum as an extremist like was portrayed in the movie, would be similar to painting all Protestants as KKK members because of "Birth of a Nation".

On Betfair, the odds have shortened (not to big money) on Mitch and Boy Bush and going out on Romney to be Republican nominee (you can bet @1.45)those are big odds unless someone else enters. Opinions?
