I liked the movie Wall Street, pure bullshit like all movies, but it was entertaining, so it did what it was supposed to for me at least.

Don't forget CC, many of the obscene rich in this country are the lefties, not just the righties! The mantra of banks, insurance, large corporations and wall street all started with laws and regulations, or the changing of regulations put in place by the left from Carter right up to Clinton. Bush/Bush and Ronnie sure didn't help things, but the source of the problems we have today have been driven strongly by the left.
As far as movies, at least in my eyes they have a two fold purpose, to make money for the ones putting it in the market place, and strictly entertainment for me, nothing more, nothing less. Yes, even movies made by Mike "Show Me The Money" Moore and Al "The Bore" Gore.
The desire to assign blame to the 'left' and the 'right' is a solid indication that we've learned absolutely nothing from this financial crisis. Both sides consorted pretty heavily to make this happen and either one could have prevented it with fairly minimal action at any time. Neither side did.
