Radical US-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki 'killed'
Anwar al-Awlaki, a US-born al-Qaeda leader, was killed in a drone strike in central Yemen, the country’s military has announced.

President Barack Obama authorised the US military to target Awlaki last year, a controversial and legally fraught move in light of his US citizenship. Awlaki had inspired serval audacious attacks in recent years

What appeared to be a US aircraft fired on the two cars Awlaqi and his fellow operatives are believed to have been travelling in.”

Here's the point; Days later or decades later....if there is, (because of new evidence) the slightest doubt of someone's innocence... a human being should not be put to DEATH. There were plenty of reasons here to doubt . A petition was signed by over a million people (including the Pope) that there was HARD doubt.

Put him in the hole until the evidence is heard anew......chain him, fookin' make him listen to broadway tunes incessantly ....but DON'T kill a man who MAY be innocent!!

Bottom line: If you think a trade-off of a few innocent people meeting their demise by the state to preserve the integrity of the ultimate penalty is necessary ...... I truly feel VERY sorry for you!

An American citizen murdered on Obama's orders in a supposedly neutral foreign country. 2 cars fired on so maybe innocent men killed on Obama's orders. Extremely doubtful Awalqi 'actually killed ' anyone!

Yemeni protesters call for UN action
Anti-government protesters in Yemen call on the international community to help them get rid of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets of the capital of Yemen, Sanaa, this afternoon to ask the United Nations (UN) to support efforts to force President Ali Abdullah Saleh from power.

We want to tell the world, and Ban Ki-moon (Secretary General of the UN) and Obama, Sarkozy, and all the leaders of the world, we want freedom, do you want freedom for the people of Yemen ?” asked protester Mohamed al Sabri.

An Arab Spring in Yemen- NO CHANCE! Saleh way too clever, sucks up to the Saudis then allows drones to operate- No way are the UN going to back resolutions against him.
