lmao Doug. I wasn't the one that brought this subject up, you did. You asserted that right wasn't getting a fair shake by giving us a very biasedright-sided blog. I don't need to tell the president nuthin, because I make up my own mind. His opinion of the media does not influence mine.

I don't give the left or the right a free pass. Just because I don't go for your overblown tantrum about the poor right not getting a fair shake from the left/dem president. What else would you expect?

Furthermore, I hereby give up my right to sue myself for damages to my reputation, cause I don't think any less of myself and I know how much I got in the bank!

so the fact that the president and the establishment media want to silence opposition media and point of view means nothing because you say you can sort it all out. wonderful. we need both sides presented - what we don't need is a president saying that only one side's view is valid.

btw, what was biased about pointing out the bias in the way the situation in n.y. was reported?? yea the story contained some one sided rhetoric, but that doesn't change the fact that it's not news when democrats try to cut education funding, but when conservatives try to cut funding it's just those evil greedy bastards trying to line the pockets of whichever fat cat supporter/special interest that most damages credibility.

the whole koch thing is a huge example. their influence pales in comparison to the soros empire of interest/advocacy groups, but the meme making the rounds would have you thinking that there is no lefty counter balance to the koch brothers.

That's right Doug, I can think for myself, sort through information, determine bias from valid facts, and come to my own conclusions, and if you want the president to know something you can speak for yourself, instead of directing me to do it. lol And guess what, even presented with the same facts and valid arguments, minus the woohoo and yadayada bs, it's possible,,, quite possible we'd still come to different conclusions, because we all have our on personal biases. lmao

What's unbiased is that you want to give the right credit for valid points buried in opinionated hyperbole, but you want to bitch about the left doing it. lol AND then you want to bitch about the left only giving credit to their talking heads valid points buried in their opinionated hyperbole, but not giving the right their credit due. lmao

since you are so good at sorting things out, why is it so difficult for you to grasp the concept that all bias is bad, but disinformation and lies from a position of power is far worse than the same actions made from a position of weakness. from the president on down this administration has acted in an unprecedented manner by attacking and discrediting the "news" outlets that oppose his policy. this sends the message that the only cedible sources of information are the ones he approves of. by virtue of that unearned credibility, it is far more important to show the bias of the mainstream media, than to show the bias of the conserative media who have already been branded as extremist wingnuts by obama.

    is it sinking in yet??

btw, again your "sorting out" assumes i give full credibility to the media of the right...but i don't think i'e ever said that, and in fact i've often said that limbaugh, fox, beck...are no worse than olbermann, msnbc, shultz. hardly a ringing endorsement eh?

perhaps you would have been better off simply accepting that the story i linked is an accurate reflection of a media double standard (because it is) rather than going off the rails claiming that because the source is biased and i'm obiously biased and then trying to use that to question the credibility of the double standard example in the story.

If you dont like it Doug you take to the streets in protest, if that doesnt work you could get together with some of your disgruntled friends buy some heavy weaponry from Mi6 and attempt a take over. It will be interesting to see if the UN supports you in your fight for freedom. Good luck.

as you well know the battle over control of the flow of information is very important. can you say "net neutrality"? what an interesting label...lol...

althought i do not think 911 was an inside job, the "truthers" and others who question government serve a vital role, by asking questions that would otherwise not be asked. yes, it is hard to manage all of the information and sort it out, but if goernment really wants to be "transparent" then they should applaud all sides of the media rather than selectiely discrediting opposition sources.

as for the U.N. - they are powerless anyways, except when a goernment wants to avoid taking responsibility for it's actions - as in "the U.N. authorized the attacks on Libya so stfu and stop blaming me for the consequences"
