Please support our troops

Whether or not you agree with the situation in the Middle East is irrelevant. Thousands of men and women are leaving their homes and families and putting themselves in harms way. Each of them is deserving of our prayers and hopes for safety and comfort. I urge each of you to pray for the safety of our troops (ALL of our troops - not just American military personnel), and pray for their families.

For those of you who would like to do more to show your support, maybe we can find a way to communicate through here without using this forum. I know of several good websites, and many of us know people already stationed in Iraq. Sending cards and letters is a tremendous way to boost spirits. If you are able to send a care package occasionally, even better!

At any rate, I encourage everyone to remember the soldiers of all nations who are stationed around the world. Please pray that they will soon be safely reunited with their families.

May I add....not just the soldiers, but to all of the Government employees, Contractors, etc, who are away from their family. Thanks.

Canada has a couple thousand troops in Afghanistan. I support them 100% and wish them a safe return to their homes after the fighting is over.

Soldiers don't get to choose their battles -- they just go do a job that many of us have neither the skill nor the stomach for. I have enormous respect for them.

Agreed Jim!! Takes a lot of courage to do that day after day and my prayers are with them!! For all of the nations brave...safe return home and we do appreciate all you do for freedom..be it here or there!!

I support them 100% I have them as my heros on my page on myspace and some pics...I also send them a card once a month on a site they have on the internet I will have to get it so I can put it on here....They are in my thoughts and prayers along with there families along with mine....

Personal feelings about Bush aside, our troops are ALWAYS in my prayers. I find it very encouraging these brave men and women don't ask questions or boo hoo over bad government decisions; they simply get ready and do the duty they signed up for.

My hat is off to them and I bid them all GOD SPEED!

I always have and always will support the troops that volunteer their bodies and lives to protect our nation and the freedoms that we take for granted. I used to live in Savannah and have met and hung out with soldiers stationed at Fort Stewart while I was there. They are some of the greatest people on this Earth and their service has won my respect 200 times over more than the vast majority of the other people that I've encountered in my life.
