I read an article that stated Obama's Grandmother is a non-practicing muslim as his is father. So inescapable fact is that Obama was born a muslim. So is he an ex-muslim or just a non-practicing one? I can't find any evidence where he said he was an ex-muslim he attended Church regularly, before he was elected. After being elected he seems to prefer the golf course.
BIf anyone has evidence that he terms himself an ex-muslim I'd be grateful to see it, until then we have to presume he's a non practicing muslim. (please don't try and divert this and to compare it to his birth certificate issue) he'd always maintained he was born in an American state, he's never denied he was born a muslim.y calling themselves non-practicing Muslims, these people still consider themselves to be Muslim, or they would introduce themselves to you as ex-Muslims or they would say that they used to be Muslim or that they were once Muslim.
They have not taken the actual step of rejecting Islam and renouncing it. Such former Muslims are known as "apostates," since they have formally rejected Islam.
