They want to make cuts in "entitlements". You know... Social security, medicare, medicaid, food stamps, etc.
I'm sure I speak for all of us that recieve these "entitlements" when I say that we're happy to help.
I realize that the richest 2% of our country desperately need the tax cuts we give them, even though so many of them don't actually pay much in taxes anyway thanks to all of the loopholes in the system. Not to mention all the money they keep in overseas banks that can't be taxed here. Speaking of which... they also want to cut funding to the IRS, so it'll be even harder to actually catch the tax cheats and make them pay their fair share.
Not a problem.
Let's see... hmmmm, I recieve $674 a month SSI, plus $80 worth of food stamps. Surely I can afford to curb my extravagant lifestyle a bit. If it means more money for the wealthy, I'm happy to help.
Oh, and then there's the medicaid that I recieve. Even though most drs already don't accept it, and they're refusing to pay for the surgeries I've had, and the one I still need. I mean, after all, the surgery that I need is only my last chance at ever being able to lead a "semi"-normal life, and if successful, I might possibly even be able to go back to work again in some capacity, rather than lying in bed 99% of the time. But in the words of John Boehner,"so be it".
But hey, who am I to stand in the way of rich people. After all, it takes a lot of money to own several homes, take luxurious vacations, etc. And let's not forget the corporations that need tax cuts so they can hire new employees... in other countries.
So on behalf of myself and other disabled people, senior citizens, military vets, etc... We say,"you're welcome".
