The nuclear arsenal is no longer maintained.
Federal prisons will be emptied due to lack of pay and vendors will not provide necessities.
No IRS no Treasury employees and no revenue.
No pay no Border Patrol. Mexicans and terrorist will flood this country ..

No fuel or ammunition and food for our troops overseas.

Our embassies are no longer operating, which will make things difficult for foreign travelers.
You or your parents will lose their SS and Medicare hospitals will close down.
Dams will flood over.
Rail and trucks will stop.

hmmmm, I don't think there's a single federal agency out there that can't run at 60% of the budget they're running with now.

The US Federal Government receives approximately $200 billion a month. The Federal Government spends approximately $340 billion a month. Without a raise in the debt limit. The Government will be required to only spend $200 billion a month. That's an across the board spending cut of 40%. Not only that, it's an immediate spending cut, not one that takes place on paper in 5 years.

I'd say that's a good start. Once they get the cuts down to 50% then we're making progress. We will then be spending 9 out of 10 dollars of federal revenue on operations, and 1 dollar out of every 10 will go to re-buying the outstanding debt.

Moab, I can tell you gave this a lot of thought, what would u do about the 330 billion we spend each year, and I bet that climbing daily,on illegal immigrants. Would you cut medicare and ss to support them? cut the ammo for our troops? Nynus is right on, he might be a little high, but there is so dam much money wasted it stinks. And I know 338 billion is nothing in the overall scheme of things, but a dam good place to start.
