Obama brought the troops home after eight years of war and occupation.
Today the Shi'a (Shiite) and Sunni are back at the 1600-year-old conflict were they left off after the coalition defeat of Saddam's Military.
Saddam with the Ba'ath Party held Iraq stable with the 1/5 minority Sunni's and was an ally in our on going verbal war with Iraq a predominant Shi'a population. Saddam and Iran were in an eight-year war , in which we were far in wide the supplier of the Iraq military with weapons of mass destruction creating a million or so Iranian casualties.. Because of this war, Iran of course was angry at America for its supporting Iraq and swore a blood feud against both America and the Sunni’s.
After Bush toppled the Saddam regime during the gulf war this opened the door for Iran who support the Iraq Shi’a who now rule in Iraq and who refused to allow American troops in Iraq, after the Bush deadline for withdrawal from Iraq. This withdrawal will usher in the return of the civil war, which was pretty much stopped in 2007 with the build up of troops in the Green zone …
So the civil war will continue like it did today and will continue on until the Sunni are pretty much completely removed from the face of Iraq and the Iraq Shi’a unite with the Iran Shi’a and continue it’s anti American campaigns in the Persian Gulf and middle East supporting the anti Israel movement.
The Middle East is now unstable …
