working within the system is going to be a slow process and may fail entirely, but it's better than doing nothing. even if the results are negligible, at least it shows an increase in awareness.
It is worth remembering power tends to naturally centralise and become less accountable more as time goes by, also as you know King George 111 wasn't voted out through a poxy ballot box. Apart from that I agree with your post 100% even the when should be how point, I just dont see the US people getting back to where they once were through apathy.
