I will admit you seem to know far more about ammo than I. I shoot 140 grain store bought shells out of my Ruger 7mm. It has a cammo variegated wood stock WITH stainless steel barrel. You won't find too many nicer rifles than that baby!! Some try to say a 7mm is too much gun for deer hunting. But I have looked at the damage 30-6 shells do to the deer tearing it apart. My 7mm goes straight through um!! When I bought it years ago. I figured lets get one good enough to go out west hunting also. The farthest out kill I have made is about 300yds. I have NEVER saw a deer I shot take over 2 steps after I hit it. I've watched deer run ALL over the pace after being hit with 30-6 shells. I have never saw any deer farther out than 300yds that I wanted to shoot. I can hit paper plates with the 7mm at 200yds. I still doubt you can do that with your 30-6 especially with open sites!! But no sense in debating that since neither of us have a way of proving the other wrong!! If you ever make your way out to MN. We can go to the range and have a shoot off!! My 3 by 9 Nikkon is SO dialed in I'll hit paper plates at ANY distance over and over!! I'll even help ya load your shells in the gun.

They really are cloning a woolly mammouth in Japan I think.....I don't think it should be allowed....
But it is true that man will never control the global climate...way too many cycles of orbit,rotation, and sun's output and other vaiables that make our
greenhouse gases seem like nothing
The water may get deep in the world before the ice comes back, but Al Gore scamming the world isn't going to stop it....
We are at the earth's mercy.....if we can adapt we will survive , but frankly, the earth would be a nicer place without us...
