I think the true core group of people who listen to the Rush show is the Liberals. What the Libs fail to grasp, is simple. Rush is a radio personality, no more, no less. The more you bitch about him, run stories on him, the higher his ratings go.

Howard learned that years ago, the more negative press, the higher his ratings went.

Which is one of the reasons Air America crashed and burned. We on the right know, and understand every one has a right to their own opinion. When the AA call went out, that all republicans should be drawn and quartered, the midwest was full of hicks that couldn't say the alphahbet and made Rush's Rants sound like childs play. We didn't care, we didn't protest, and we didn't give it the time of the day.

what bothers the lefties is that they know Rush has influence with some elected officials, but more so with those who listen. i'm sure there are some "dittoheads" who will faithfully follow, but for me...it's pretty simple. if i agree with him or any other talk show host - great, and if i don't, well so what.

because they see him as having influence (probably give him too much credit because they assume the conservatives are mindless followers like so many lefties are) they have evoked rule #12, as posted in one of the other Rush bashing threads.

I'm having a hard time trying to understand what you are trying to say. I told you so? what did you tell us, and how is this the Liberals fault? I see no fault with the Liberals, nor mention of the fault being place on the Liberals. In fact, how are the Liberals at Fault?
