    Holder or Fold'er

^^^^ I know, it's a weak title, but the espresso hasn't kicked in yet.

    From Poker News:
On Tuesday, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder was in attendance at a House Judiciary Committee hearing which addressed the recent indictments of online poker's Big Three.

During the hearing Holder said that he believed that the recent poker indictments were "appropriate." When asked whether he thought poker was a game of skill or chance however, he said he did not know, saying it was "beyond his capabilities" to "weigh in on an issue that is fundamentally connected to the Department of Justice's position that online poker violates U.S. law."

Holder was also asked about Phil Ivey, and whether he believed that he was "just lucky or the world's greatest player," and Holder responded, “I am not sure I know who Phil Ivey is, but I am sure there is some degree of skill that is involved, some degree, I am not a poker player myself.”
    WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?!

    Are you kidding me?

This fuckwad indicts and shuts down a multi-billion dollar industry and he doesn't even know shit about it.

How ignorant can you possibly be. At least have the courtesy to learn about something your department is doing. If not before they do it, then at least brush up on it before you have to testify IN FRONT OF CONGRESS.

This ignorant asshole had to have graduated Magna Cum-Laude from Fuckhead 'U'.

    Seriously, he's got to go.

Typical politician, doesn't want to give a truthful answer so fudges and ends up looking a complete asshole. He doesn't possess even rudimentary knowledge of America's 'national' card game? Now this is a case for demanding to produce a bith certificate

He doesn't possess even rudimentary political skills, looks like a deer in the headlights, and has no business holding that position. He might be a great lawyer but he sucks as the AG

This is why I quit playing online ...

You can go to almost any State in the Union and play. But playing online is illegal because a right wing nut Christian placed it in a non related bill in the middle of the night without anyone knowing about and because the law was passed without a re reading of the bill because no one knew about the amendment ... That's legal but adults spending their earned money is illegal because some fool has our morality at heart .... Or did he!

In 2006, Senator Majority Leader, Frisk, stick this Act the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) inside a package of laws called the US Port Security Act one of these laws if you didn't pass you would be a pussy and eaten up by the Bush anti American thugs ...

Unless/until a player is actually arrested and charged with playing online poker, it is not illegal anywhere in the US.

Should that day come, when they actually try to get a conviction on such a charge, then we can have the fight over the legality of it. Until then, there is no standing to challenge said laws.

I doubt very much they would ever use me as a test case, but I'm prepared

Are you saying that until someone gets convicted of breaking a new law that it's not really a law yet?

Republicans started this shit, period! Maybe you Republicans here need to re-think your politics if you want to be able to play online.

Maybe you could even send Barney Frank a thank you letter for the work he's done on this subject.

It's not republicans as a whole, in fact many righties think it should be legal, now the radical bible thumping right wing nut jobs, they actually think it was them that got this done. IMO it's simply the big boys in Vegas putting pressure on powers that be today to enforce a "maybe law" so they have time to put together their internet gambling sites.
