I have heard many who say it is a slam dunk that she will be the next president on the United States.

I've also heard many say that the first 2 years of her administration will be such a disaster that she will essentially put the republicans back in power by 2010.

The gist of that speculation begins with her desire to implement a national healthcare program and predictions that it's costs will result in much higher taxes that will have severe effects on the U.S. economy.

Former (Bill) Clinton campaign consultant Dick Morris is one who shares this view and is one of Hillary's biggest critics.

Personally, I don't think you have much to worry about as far as the healthcare issue goes. I don't think the Republicans or Democrats in Congress or the Senate will go for a universal healthcare model that will sap money from some very powerful medical lobbies -- there's simply too much profit at stake for doctors, medicine producers and HMOs. And I also get the impression that the average American will happily pay through the nose to support the multi-billion dollar defense budget but won't pay an extra ten cents a year in taxes for universal healthcare. But that may just be my jaded Canadian viewpoint sneaking out again.

i think we see eye to eye on this one.....although most politicians would qualify as evil to some degree IMO.

The more I watch these candidates, the bigger that sinking feeling grows in my gut. Hillary is not the right candidate for this position. I really don't think she should even be in the Senate. She's about herself, not the country. I feel the same way about Obama.

I don't believe any of the "frontrunners" of either party are qualified for the position. If it were up to me today, I'd choose Mike Gravel and Ron Paul to win their respective party's nomination.

I sincerely hope that hillary wins the democratic primary. Simply put, america is to bigotted, to racist, and still to strongly rooted in the christian orthodox and idea of original sin at this point in time to elect a woman president. So I hope she wins the primary, because it practically makes whoever is voted by the republican party a shoe in.
