Finally getting some attention. We have only heard from our New Lender 2 times in 3 months, asking for more documents. We have no clue what the hell is going on...But I will say that cash envelope is getting fatter each month.

I read the article. Here's the only place I could find accusations of wrongdoing.

They filed for federal reimbursement on foreclosed homes that sold for less than the outstanding loan balance using defective and faulty documents.

This is all going back to using signature machines, and rubber stamps for signing the foreclosure documents. Since the documents are considered a legal filing, then they have to be hand signed. It doesn't change the fact that the foreclosure was legit, or that the bank was owed money. It's a paperwork thing. And as you've already learned through your process, the mortgage industry thrives on paperwork.

I'm not saying the banks haven't done anything wrong, just that the specifics in the article you posted are referring to the signature issues.

Granted, I don't give a flying fuck if they hang a couple of bankers by the balls in town square or not, but I was curious as to the how the Huffington Post was reporting on the housing problem. Most of the stuff I've read from them is intentional misleading. This happens to be one of those articles. Naturally, since the Huffington blog is biased, they do something that I do all the time, which is use hyperbole and exaggeration. I do it for humor. (Even if I'm the only one that thinks it's funny) The H. Post does it because Arianna Huffington thinks she's the illegitimate offspring of Woods and Bernstein. Unfortunately. she's a talentless hack that thinks that her shit doesn't stink and only she and George Soros know what's best for the country. She can tilt at windmills all she wants, but her credibility as a news source is shit.
