Seeing as we'll give money to any regime that doesn't outwardly back terrorists, I'm kind of with MF on this one. It's their government to run. I remember that a few of the 9/11 hijackers were Egyptian, so it's not like the standing regime was anything terrific. They were basically not-the-worst-case-scenario, which given US relations in the Arab world, was good enough.
