Dirty Las Vegas Money ... owns the Nut and so he Getsrich ....

I'm not shocked that a mod from Las Vegas and in the casino industry wouldn't mentioned this.

What we have here is a man buying Newt, and as president Newt will be able to intervie in the investigation.

You accuse Obama of doing this for his big money contributers and say that thats why you hate him ... again it's different when a scumbag asshole like Newt takes dirty money ...

The casino company run by the principal financial backer of Newt Gingrich's presidential bid, Sheldon Adelson, has been under criminal investigation for the last year by the Department of Justice and the Securities Exchange Commission for alleged bribery of foreign officials, according to corporate documents.

In a separate civil lawsuit, a former executive of the company has alleged that Adelson ordered him to keep quiet about sensitive issues at the Sands casinos on the Chinese island of Macau, including the casinos' alleged "involvement with Chinese organized crime groups, known as Triads, connected to the junket business." The triads -- Chinese organized crime syndicates -- are allegedly involved in organizing high stakes gambling junkets for wealthy Chinese travelers.

In its filings with the SEC, Adelson's company says it became aware of the investigation in February 2011 when it received a subpoena from the SEC requesting "documents relating to its compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act." The company said it "intends to cooperate with the investigation," which it said may have been triggered by the allegations in the lawsuit by Steven C. Jacobs, a former Sands executive who says he helped run the Macau operation. The federal investigation was first reported last year by Las Vegas newspapers and the financial press.
At a gaming forum last year, Adelson said the lawsuit "is not a serious case" and that the federal investigations would find no wrongdoing. "When the smoke clears, I am 1,000 percent positive that there won't be any fire below it."

Adelson and his wife have given at least $10 million to the pro-Gingrich Super PAC "Winning our Future" and ABC News political analyst Amy Walter said the Adelsons' money "has been a major factor in keeping Newt Gingrich's campaign alive." The candidate and the Super PAC are not legally allowed to coordinate their efforts, but the political action committee's goals are unambiguous, as they finance ads supporting Gingrich and attacking his opponents.

ABC News received no response to calls and emails to the Gingrich campaign seeking comment.

No one said anything because it's a non-issue.

The so called bribes were commissions paid to agents for booking groups of people. This has been an accepted and legal practice in Vegas for decades. There's a decent business of free-lance casino hosts that get paid a percentage of the action when they bring high rollers to casinos. Many of these hosts bring groups of high rollers and make significant money from multiple casinos by organizing the gaming and entertainment for their players.

The beef that the DOJ is going after arose after a disgruntled employee of Adelson's questioned the character of some of the free lance hosts that were doing business with the Sands in Macau.

What they were doing, how they were doing it, and who they were doing it for isn't illegal and it wan't in question. However, since the hosts APPEARED to have ties with the triad, primarily because the high rollers they were bringing in were triad members, they're trying to smear Adelson with it.

Seems more to me like it's a bullshit, partisan, witch hunt. i.e. business as usual for the Liberals.

So what the teamsters were doing was legal bribing officials with comps.

What is more too question here is that Newt is involved with these people .... Hummm wasn't he upset over the Chinese getting our jobs ..

Billybob ... The funny part is you don't even have one clue who he is ... all you can do is bleat what FOX spews.

You mean Newt is involved with a casino owner? Glory be to god let's get a rope and hang the mother fucker then!!!

Funny how a US citizen that owns a casino, starts his own PAC, and spends his own earnings to support it, draws your disdain. Seems like quite the American exercise of free speech if you ask me.

Unlike Hillary that was bringing rich Chinese in by the truckload to play at the Wynn. Most of which had wired millions of dollars to the Wynn cage. Then they conveniently "lost" said money at the tables. In reality it was being cashed out at the cage, and said cash was taken to a penthouse suite where Hillary's campaign was there waiting to accept it. The employees working at the cage had never seen so many big chips getting cashed out.

Unfortunately for Obama, Steve Wynn doesn't like him, so he had to bring HIS Chinese supporters to the MGM owned Bellagio, where they ran the same operation.

Once again, common knowledge in Vegas.

Why was this going on? Campaign reporting laws, and the fact that they couldn't fly the cash into the U.S. legally. Wiring it to the cage at the Wynn is perfectly legal.

You don't now squat ... the gun sales were part of a undercover operation with congress concent that went bad ... DOJ is investigating the case as we type. Not only was DOJ involved but so was ATF branch of Homelands Security.

Gons were going south being sold by legal dealers to drug trafficers and that's why the sting to get those dealers off the market. It did work but it also had some bad results where some ATF agents were killed under cover "in" Mexico.
