I realize that not everyone here is, or considers themselves to be a Christian, but this thread is aimed at those that do.
Try to understand that I'm not "bashing" Christianity here. I simply have a question for those that are of the Christian faith.
If you call yourself a Christian, and find that you "don't like" or "can't tolerate" Muslims or anything that they do(or try to do), then are you being true to your beliefs?
Remember what Jesus said...
I posted this in another thread but it fits here too...Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. (Matthew 22:37-40)
Also, in Romans 13:8-10, Paul says...You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. (Matthew 5:43)
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
If Christs message was above all one of peace, love and tolerance, then why is there so much hatred in the Christian community? (For the record... I'm not saying that hatred is only in the the Christian community, that's simply who I'm directing these question to)
