Charitable donations: Liberals vs Conservatives

Is there a study that shows the percentage of income given to charity? Just because they give more money, doesn't make them more generous.

Among the recipients of the charity(the poor) are there more concervatives or liberals? If most poor people are liberals, I doubt that they're gonna be donating much money.

As you know very well by now I'm very liberal, yet I have no money that I can donate to anything. However, I am a registered organ donor. What's the percentage of liberal vs conservative organ donors?

somewhere in there it mentioned that once charitable contributions to churches were factored out the liberals gave slightly more than the conservatives, but as a percentage of income the conservatives were still slightly ahead.

so it seems they do have the percentage of income figured, and that your presumption that the evil greedy conservatives have more money is not true.

also, i would like to mention that although some of the money donated to churches goes for self serving purposes, some also goes into the community to help the less fortunate and some also goes to global causes as well.

as much as people like to slam "the church" there IS much good that is done by church based organizations.

yea, it's fun to imply things but not actually come out and say it.

anyways, let me clarify. given the context of the above statement it seemed that you were implying that conservatives were not as generous because perhaps their percentage of income given was lower.

is that better??
