He's ch a nice man the pastor.

He touts himself as a pastor and claims that his Dove World Outreach Centre is based on the word of God — but Terry Jones is, at heart, a used furniture salesman with a history of difficulties when it comes to loving thy neighbour.

Best known for his anti-Islamic activism, he is also vehemently homophobic
........The Dove World Outreach Centre was founded in Cologne, Germany, in 1986. Mr Jones and his wife, Sylvia, assumed its leadership a decade later and divided their time between Germany and Florida.

They left Germany in 2008 after one of their three adult children, Emma Jones, along with a former church elder, Heinz Coop, accused them of financial and labour abuses.
    ....
It is funded by TS & Company, a furniture-shipping business run by the church, which buys vintage pieces from Europe and sells them at profit in the US. The workforce is comprised of the Jones’s disciples, who work for no wages and live rent-free in tatty properties owned by the couple.

I could have guessed the way this thread would go, but I'm actually shocked that none of you Americans seem to care about the possible "danger" this puts your troops in. Strange!

I agree that the FL guy is a lunatic and personally I think he should just stifle.
But I don't understand all of the hoopla about this in the news either... don't countries in the middle east burn US flags and Bibles everyday? What's the difference?

Billybob answered your question before you asked it:

    Actually... Yes.

You see, what you "so called" Christians aren't willing(or able) to comprehend is the fact that not all Muslims are terrorists. Yes, some of them are, but there are probably just as many "Christian" terrorists as well.

I'm sure that there's plenty of "Christians" in this nation that hate to see our flag being burned, and would hate it even more to see their bible being burned. And I'm sure that seeing something like that is enough to make some "Christians" so mad that will do something stupid to retaliate(This pastor and church is one example).

For those of you that don't realize it, or can't get it through your thick skulls, our troops aren't just overseas "killing Muslims". They're also trying to instill the point that even though they may not like us, that we are a "Christian" nation(LMFAO, sorry, couldn't say that without laughing) and are more tolerant towards others. Actions like this, and the whole NY Mosque thing, only go to prove the Talibans point that we all hate their religion and wont tolerate it, thus making it easier to recruit more people to fight against us. People that would normally not have any reason to hate us or want to do us harm, now see that we don't like them so they join the fight against us.

These actions serve no purpose but to satisfy the hatred and bloodlust that you see in most "Christians".

Now... Let me tell you why I use " " when using the word "Christian".

I don't think that most of the people that call themself a "Christian" have a clue what it means. I'm sure they know the technical meaning, that "Christian" means a believer, etc. in "Christ", but I don't see a single member here actually following the word of, or doing things the way that Christ would want them to. And if any of you disagree with me, I sugest you take a serious look in your heart and see if you're acting "Christ-like".

So yes Mastro, you're not stupid, you can do the math...

Would our troops be safer against 1,000 of them or against 10,000 of them?

Well if you want to ignore the fact that the US commander thinks so then go ahead but I would have thought he would have enough insight and experience to know.
