The issue of his being a person of the Islam faith doesn't disqualify him from being President and there is no proof he is or ever was.
Grow up! you call me pathetic and silly with a ridiculous comment like that.
What more proof do you want? His father was muslim, his stepfather was muslim. His religion when he entered school was islam. It was an islamic school and he attended a mosque whilst there. None of this he has denied, yet you still do so and I have no idea why.and there is no proof he is or ever was.
Unless of course it's because YOU stated he was never a muslim therefore he can't be.
What I'm saying he is a Christian ... another bunch of crazy fucks believing in a old white man.
My father wasn't always a Mormon he was from Chippewa Falls, he was Lutheran when he practiced .. using your logic I'm not a Mormon.
I'm not because the religion and I disagree about sexuality...
When I see it from him then and only then will I change ... And only because he said so which will have no effect on me what so ever other than now he chooses to be.
Me personally, I'm rather sad he isn't a Muslim .. That would really tweak your mind.
You'd vote for a man whose religion believes gay people should be executed?Me personally, I'm rather sad he isn't a Muslim
Allowing women drivers in Saudi Arabia will tempt them into sex, promote pornography and create more homosexuals, according to some conservative Muslim scholars.
Saudi Arabia is one of four Arab countries where homosexual acts are not only illegal but punishable by execution.
Remember the video of Obama kissing(near enough) the Saudi Arabian leader?

Islam and Homosexuality
This is interesting as passages point out the Qu'ran's condemnation of homosexuality (likewise in The Old Testament and we see the example of Sodom and Gomorrah) but no specific treatment of it as regards execution. Even the writings of Muhammed do not state how to treat transgressors.
Traditionalist orthodox Muslims generally claim that the Hadith literature contains the authentic sayings of Muhammad. Many liberal Muslims doubt their authenticity. The latter might point out that during the times of the first Caliphs, Muslims did not know what to do with individuals guilty of "liwat/lutiyya". No sahabi (companion) of Muhammad could quote a saying or decision of Muhammad relating to this question.Treatment of homosexuals within Islam:
According to a pamphlet produced by Al-Fatiha, there is a consensus among Islamic scholars that all humans are naturally heterosexual. 5 Homosexuality is seen by scholars to be a sinful and perverted deviation from the norm. All Islamic schools of thought and jurisprudence consider gay acts to be unlawful. They differ in terms of penalty:
The Hanafite school (currently seen mainly in South and Eastern Asia) teaches that no physical punishment is warranted.
The Hanabalites, (widely followed in the Arab world) teach that severe punishment is warranted.
The Sha'fi school of thought (also seen in the Arab world) requires a minimum of 4 adult male witnesses before a person can be found guilty of a homosexual act. Al-Fatiha estimates that 4,000 homosexuals have been executed in Iran since their revolution in 1979. 10 public executions of homosexuals have been performed in Afghanistan by the Taliban army.
You have to remember the koran is a book of 2 parts, as Muhammed got older he mellowed considerably. Illiteracy is very high in the Middle East (far less books are published there than in any other populated region of the world). The imams hold the power. The general teachings of the imams tended to be far more liberal and some actually encouraged homosexuality in the past. Unfortunately today the hard line has taken over ie most British imams come from a very militant part of Pakistan. As in Christianity different sects place different importance on certain passages(as NN has illustrated). Would be far simpler if we could all became Quakers.
I don't know about the Qu'ran but I understand Islam to be about two books: the Qu'ran and the Hadith which was written about M's life after his death. To elaborate:
from Kalamullah.Com | HadithAfter the Qur'an itself, the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad form the most important foundation of Islamic thought. The hadith were accounts -- usually brief -- of the words and actions of the Prophet.
