The US military and CIA are investigating claims that classified information about the killing of Osama bin Laden was given to Oscar winning filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow..

Peter King, chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, said he requested an investigation after reports that President Barack Obama's administration gave high-level access to Bigelow and Sony Pictures about the raid that killed the al-Qaeda leader in Pakistan last year......Mr King's statement added that the new Bigelow film was to have been released in October 2012, one month before a US presidential election that will determine if Mr Obama will win a second term in the White House.

Far be it from me to heap praise upon Obama, but . . . .

Osama was taken out under his watch, and not just into his watch, but after the mid-term elections. Obama the peace prize winner could have suspended the search for, ended the fighting in Afghanistan, called an end to the "Global War on Terror" (that he didn't do any of these things AND won the Peace Prize is astonishing, and makes the NPP a complete sham in my view and carries no weight) or any of the pusillanimous actions a republican would expect from a Democrat.

So credit where credit is due. He was the boss, kept the men on the job, kept the money flowing, got them the tools they needed to do the job, and gave the green light to a risky mission with big rewards. Ballsy move I didn't think he had in him.

Think how bad it could have gone . . . . . three helicopters crash, 30 US Soldiers killed, Osama escapes . . . .

We'd all sure be blaming him if it went that way, so he gets the credit for the way it went.
