Several people here claim to be very knowledgable when it comes to the bible. Time to put that knowledge to the test.

Here are some basic bible questions that would be taught in sunday school.

Since this test is about the bible and is aimed at religious people, we'll be using the honor system. Try to answer these questions without having to look them up on the internet, and try not to look at other peoples answers before answering for yourself.

Some of the questions are harder than others, but all are fairly easy. Just do your best and good luck.

The answers will be revealed at a later date.

I know all the answers. These were relatively easy questions if you know anything at all about the Bible.

Before I go and post my answers......can I just ask...

What exactly are you trying to prove or accomplish with this quiz? I honestly am just curious to know your alterior motives.

Trying to see who knows what most would consider to be some very basic questions about the bible.

Btw, you'll not find this as some sort of "trick test" anywhere on the internet, these questions were all of my doing.

Some of my answers differ from yours...

According to scripture, none of the gospels record all of Christ's saying on the cross. John has is written as "it is finished" as his last words. But some of the other gospels differ if I remember correctly.

The quote you have above was mentioned on calvary, but I do believe the order is not certain.

There are 7 "words" Christ is known to have said on the cross. This is DEFINITELY one of them. However, if I know Frank, he is asking for the absolute "last" statement Christ said on the cross, and according to all the gospels, this simply cannot be certian.

I believe it is the book of John that has Jesus saying "it is finished".

the book of Luke has him saying "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit."

I think Mark has it about "my God, why have you forsaken me"

and Matthew says something about him saying the phrase about "My god, why have you forsaken me. But goes on and says something about "when Jesus had cried out again, he gave up his spirit to the Lord" or something like that.



As you can see, each gospel present a slightly different story, as is to be expected. These accounts are from individual men who experienced this. We know this from first hand, that when we experience the same thing as a friend, and we go on to tell the story, each of our story differs a little, even though both of us were in the exact same place at the exact same time.
