congrats on your position in life, that you are able to hang with the top 1%. you are right, when you are able to put your money to work without having to cash it out for every emergency that comes along - that's rich. but many of the people the liberal smear machine calls rich - those making $250,000 a year with a family living in an expensive part of the country...they are not rich. i'm not rich by a long shot and guess what?? i work my ass of thank you very much. but life is good, even though i make about the same in 7 days as my bartenders make in 3 i have no complaints. my health care sucks, i have no dental or vision coverage...but guess what?? i believe that's my responsibility. the people i work WITH (my employees) are wonderful (a bit frustrating at times but still wonderful) and being around and seeing a wide variety of people come into the bar is amazing. dealing with all of the day to day challenges is invigorating and rewarding. if i ever had enough to invest and live off of, it would probably kill me (literally) to sit on my ass and do nothing.
