I was playing in the Full Tilt 10:20 Knockout DonkFest. Why is it called a donkfest? Here is the reason why...

Could I have played this better? I certainly didn't put him on a 45, or a flush draw. With the bet out on the flop, who calls with middle pair and a 4 kicker?

Am I wrong? Or was this just bad luck, or a bad play?

people love those suited connectors. Unfortunately for you, he was probably not putting you on AA, so when that flop was a dud for over cards, he probably thought he had you. Unfortunately again, you get very unlucky with the turn and river.

Maybe with two callers, 495 wasn't a big enough bet. Maybe SMICH caught the ten on the flop and Kenny just assumed that he was priced in (as if pricing in a double-runner is possible with less than seven callers). It's tough because you don't want to take somebody off the hook there, but maybe the failure to single out one caller would require a change in plans and just escaping with a pot of 450 and not risking getting outdrawn.

It's also a flop tough bet since after Kenny checked, you were probably sizing up your bet with respect to SMICH because who the hell sees the check-call coming.
