Trying a $200. This KK Shit is Starting To Get Old!

Here I'm trying a $200 NL Cash Game. (I usually play at the $50-$100 level.)

From memory (amounts might not be exact, but are close and I had Villain covered): $200 No-Limit (Full Tilt) Heroine=about $215. Villain has about $210.

I have Villain at 24/12 over a decent sample. He probably has me about 20/10?

    Pre-Flop: Dealt to Heroine (CO)
4 folds, Villain raises to $6. Heroine re-raises to $18, 3 folds. Villain re-re-raises to $54. Heroine calls. (Uhoh. I have been stacked the last 4 times I had KK. Ayachacha!)

    Flop: ($111)
Villain checks. Heroine bets $80. Villain raises to $156 (all-in). Heroine calls. (Shiiiiiiit!)

    Turn ($423)

    River ($423)

    Villain had (WTF????????????)

Am I going crazy? Did the usually solid Villain just go crazy? Anyone see anything I could have done differently, to avoid this? I'm almost ready to start folding KK preflop! Geez!!! Should I have pushed preflop? Am I starting to get overly cautious with KK? Somebody give me some advice...and a hug!

wow, talk about wtf. Once that flop hits, you're screwed... the only way you could've won against this maniac (other than a board pair on the river) was to push in preflop... I surely hope he wouldn't call all in with that hand... personally, I _think_ I would've pushed in preflop with KK, unless you had a serious gut feeling he was holding AA (in which case you should've folded to his re-re-raise, since you're looking to hit a 2 outer on the flop in that instance), you're a preflop favorite against every other hand.

    sorry Shay

more than likely you were going to get called preflop. He has suited connectors, not that it makes a smart call but many players these days will chase a flush preflop. When flop hit, you were screwed since he had the nuts post flop. You didn't misplay the KK, at post flop you were pot commited so they pay wasn't poor.

I hope you get better luck with those pocket cowboys.

He raised you 3 x and you did the same, reraising 3 x his raise, right?

My guess, is he thought you were bluffing! You would have re-raise all-in preflop, I don't know what would happened tho ...

    That's a real suckout!!!

Nothing you could have done there ... ego was talking I think.

You were more favorite after the turn than he was pre flop.

The only thing that would have save you is a flop like 96Q or even AJQ, then he would have folded

That is just plain AWFUL Shay. His play that is... I agree with what someone said above, probably should have either pushed all in pre flop or gotten away from it. I have only folded KK once in a cash game and amazingly enough the guy was holding AA, but more times then not its gonna be an idiot like this raising huge with AQ or 10-10 or of course... 5-2 suited lol.

After the flop there was no getting away from it, because if u put him on AA you would have folded pre flop... and that board doesnt do you any favors

Sorry Shay. You need an extra hug for that one. (((Shay)))

All I can say is that's the way FT rolls. It's such a typical bullshit beat that FT all too often gives to the underdog to ensure that they keep coming back and pumping money into their system.
