    Poker Psychology Question

I would appreciate your thoughts and comments on the following:

I play in a weekly 1/2 nl hold em game on Thursday nights. The buy in ranges from $100-$300. Good group, mostly decent players. $3000 Stein table, custom chairs/cards, etc. Very nice setup. Here's my one issue with the game: The host will only play with $1 chips! So every pot basically turns into a gigantic mess and takes forever to sort through/stack. Do you all know of any game like this?

The 1/2 game at most casinos only let's you play with $5 chips and the dealer makes change for the blinds. You could do something like with a $300 stack do like $50 in $1 chips and make the rest $5...

That's what I would do anyways

Yeah, the reason I titled the thread psychology is because he said that people enjoy dragging huge stacks of chips and it causes more action. I don't really buy that myself. Keep in mind, we're talking about a doctor from Yale, so I was thinking maybe he attempts to get in people's heads when he's shoving out multiple rows of chips, even though it's only 30 or 40 bucks. One possibility...
