Donk fest ... what do you think?

I noticed that on Friday nights and saturday nights it's easier to win tourneys, because there are so many donks online (re-resaising your pot raise AK with Q7 ... when A58 on board... you know what I mean!!)

Do you think there'll be more donks on Christmas Eve and Christmas day ... or only the sharks will be online, all waiting to catch some fish??

if those donks keep hitting their cards it is a minefield...that's my experience...everyone hits against me

i can't even begin to tell you how frustrating it is to run into constant suckouts and coolers.

last 5 times i've had QQ...i've been up against KK or AA. when i get the KK or AA against an underpair...it's been just about a coinflip...the small pairs catch and catch.

i lose with boats, flushes, straights...all my best hands have been getting cracked at an astounding rate the last 3 - 4 days.

so many people chasing gutshots have hit....i figured hey, if it's the way to win, why not. so against all odds and common sense i gave it a shot...and it fucking hits on the river.

to make matters worse, frustration does not induce confident or patient plat

I agree Doug ... but if you're suppose to win 80% of the time with QQ, keep playing them the same way ... and you'll end up winning!!

Yesterday nite, I got out of a $10 tourney with AA so I decided to register into a $3 tourney and my JJ were no good ... and came back to a $3 knock out tourney ... and I won it!!

I got donked twice and I won once!

Bankroll at beginning of the nite = $128
Bankroll at End of the nite = $195

That's the way it goes!!

been telling myself this for 2 years now....and the shit keeps coming. not saying i never win, but trust me...the odds are gonna have to work overtime for a long time to even out

I totally disagree with you. A donk here or there fine. But when your under what i call. (idiot assault) By 4 players at one table. All you can do is play the best poker you can. Then prey you get more lucky than they do. I Prefer a table full of good players anytime over a table full of idiots. Now I will admit its nice if you get ahold of some nice cards and get them calling. But that generally doesnt happen so easily. You have to work for hands. So Id rather play some solid decent players. At least I know what im dealing with then. So basically Im agreeing with doug here. You can have the odds in your favor all you want. But when your surrounded by idiots chasing everything in site. Eventually one of thems going to get you. At least i think he saying that.

Yeah i was playing those 3$ bountys last night also. I ended up coming out ahead also. Not much though. It was nice getting away from the 20$ 9man sng grind. I honestly get alot of laughs watching those players.

pretty much...except that with me it's not usually eventually

i find that if i can get ahead in a ring game....i better take the winnings and run because so often that one big hand where the guy was chasing and hits will wipe out your winnings and then some.

Dougie I have read a few poker books over the last 2 yrs about playing and have found in theory it all sounds good but luck does come into play. The lower the buyin the more luck plays a roll, I have found. Any hand can be cracked. Daniel N said it perfectly . Keep the pots small at all cost. Till the turn. And learn to isolate players. Mutilple player hands are hard to win. Position is everything

Ez is right keep playin High PP the same way in time the odds will turn for u. Unless u have multiple callers to the pot. That the reason for the reraise but all this said, Donks like me will still call when short stacked or big stacked and luck will happen.
Back to Daniel N, keep the pot small till ya have the nuts. learn to fold hands except maybe KK or AA.

The first 2 yrs my bank roll is lost to learning . But since joining LP and another poker forum my bank roll has been steady.

Ive never read a poker book. I do pretty well not having read one. I guess im worried it will ruin the way I play. But I also think that maybe should read a few and could help me tremendously. What to do? What to do?? lol

just think how good u will be with it EZ

the books teach u odds
and logical stuff
all good but u have to play to learn the people side of the game
