^^^The game paid out. You were knocked out. No money is owed to you.

If the REMAINING players have any question as to how payout was handled then they likely have already spoken to support.

As I said, since team play is a different beast of a game all together and we are rescheduling that game, those funds were reimbursed as if the game never happened. As Curt hosts the VFP game and saw it was being played out, we discussed it and handled it in the same manner. He notified the players who won money that the funds would be removed from their accounts. Under normal circumstances, we do not remove distributed prizes.

In the PoP game all prizes were distributed and you were knocked out and not eligible to receive any reimbursement or prize funds.

Procedures for payouts if a tournament is cancelled are posted on Luvin Poker at this location: LuvinPoker - Tournaments > Rules

    This is the text therein.

    ------------

    Cancellation Policy

If a tournament is cancelled before it starts, all players who have registered will be refunded their buy-in and fee for that tournament.

If a tournament is cancelled after it has started, but before the outcome has been decided, (e.g. due to a technical failure) Players who were already disqualified before cancellation will lose their buy in and entry fees, as usual. For those players still in the tournament at the time of cancellation:

After tournament start and before all players are in the prize money: Those players still in the tournament at the end of the last hand will receive their buy in and fee for that tournament. Then, they will be given equal shares of 50% of the entire prize pool (minus refunded buy-ins), and the remaining 50% will be distributed according to players' chip count.

After tournament start and when all players are in the prize money: All players will get the next prize to be handed out - for example, if there are 32 players left when the tournament is cancelled, then everyone effectively gets the "32nd-place" prize. Then, the remainder of the prize money will be distributed according to players' chip count.

    ------------

If you read it carefully, you'll notice that ALL funds get paid out in the event of a cancellation. The part of the prize pool that is NOT paid out to those players that were eliminated prior to the cancellation is split up appropriately between the remaining players.

No funds are "pocketed" in the event of a cancellation. Had you gone to Luvin Poker, and read the tournament rules, all your questions would have been answered.

I won't, unless he calls me out on it, then he'll have agreed to STFU, and I'll send him a penny a day for 165 days ;-)

I am not going to debate if widebutt or anyone else deserved a refund, BUT I will give my two cents on the subject. I read the Nynus post and the cancellation policy. It seems fair but ONE thing is missing imo. There should be a time frame listed for cancellations if there is a blackout. I am not sure if this is fact, but heard talk of JJ.s game playing out after a outage of nearly a hour. How can anyone consider that game playable? There should be a time amount allotted for Everleaf to get the site back up and running and if they can not in that time frame the refund policy goes into effect END of story!! It is not fair to expect players to keep trying to log back in for over 20min hoping to get back in a game that may never play. Another thing I notice is for some reason the blinds keep raising during a outage which should NOT happen imo. If you are short stacked then come back in the game two levels higher than when you left how can you consider that a fair game? If the games froze like they should then the time frame of a outage could be longer. Since the games don't seem to freeze imo the outage times should be short before considered cancelled. If Everleaf does not like the idea of a short time frame for them to fix the problem then they NEED to enact some type of software to make the games freeze during a outage. I know it is possible because have played on sites where the games freeze during a outage. I have also saw some players away and some playing during a outage. The time frame this occurred has been small so never made a big deal about it. Back at pokerroom inconsistency and the sites denial that they had a issue was a MAJOR riff between the site and myself which eventually led to me being blocked off the site. I have NEVER saw Everleaf deny a problem when they had a issue so that is a good thing. I have saw some inconsistency in in the time frame of the outage vs a cancellation though. At pokerroom outages were VERY frequent, so it became a huge issue to me whereas Everleaf generally has a reliable connection. So basically imo a time frame for Everleaf to fix the problem NEEDS to be set in stone, if they can not meet that time the game SHOULD be cancelled so players are NOT left in limbo wondering.
