I was just talking to SavageJug at some 50c double up table he was at trying to induce him into a long awaited HU, but he refused saying along with alot of other general abuse, that he cant deposit any real money on the site as the FEDS could seize it any minute.

Is JUG just a big baby or is LP at risk of being shut down?

LP has taken and is taking necessary steps to ensure all player funds are safe. FT did not have segregated accounts (meaning they had all their eggs in one basket). Their are several networks still operational at this time and two of them are larger than Everleaf (Cake and Merge). I have had different scenarios thrown at me. Some say the DOj is going after everyone and we should close right now, but the majority say their hands are full building a case with Stars and FT and they won't bother with us. Regardless, as I type this we are in the process of changing LP over to LuvinPoker.eu. God forbid the day comes that the .com is taken, I want players to still have access to support and the cashier. One of the major complaints about Everleaf is how difficult it is to make a deposit and withdraw. There is a reason for this. We do not have in house processing like the larger rooms had. The law does not say we can not play poker in the US, it says we can not deposit. You are not depositing through Everleaf channels.

The bottom line is I can't make any promises. No one can. However, we are taking every precaution and I do believe all player's funds are safe. In addition, we are not the size of the rooms that were closed. This does not mean your money is any less valuable, but there were people who had college tuitions and a year's salary online. The other issue with FT is the lack of communication. People still are waiting for answers from their representatives. Just like this thread, you all know me well enough to know I deal with things head on. We have one thing, other rooms don't have - this community. I will always be straight forward and tell you everything I know. I have been assured by Everleaf should anything ever happen, our money is safe. They are a reputable network and have been around many years. It would be very simple for us to lock out US right now if we had legitimate concerns.

Listen, don't risk money you can't afford to lose, and don't dwell on what you can't control. I have listened to so much whining from players who are scared to deposit <$100 for fear of losing it to the DOJ, and I tell them all the same thing . . . . if you feel that way, stick to play chips.
