New, Fair Leader Board system
A lot of thought for a very long time has gone into this new system. Undoubtedly there will be complaints, but I think most should be pleased. We will be adding another early game on Sunday for a total of your choice of 4 games per week. This new system means you do not have to play every game to win a champ. We will only be counting the top ten scores and if you do well, even all 10 are not necessary to be crowned champ. The changes will be implemented for our first new leader board game on the Luvin Poker site as of April 2nd. The following is simply an example of the new scoring method. The mods and Mr. Mastro (Executive in charge of Special Events) have all consulted on this and it has been a discussion for ages to make things as fair as possible. Our basic point structure will remain the same. To refresh your memory, here is the current scoring method:
2 points per place/bonus for final table
20 player tourney
20th = 2 points
19th = 4
18th = 6
17th = 8
16th =10
15th = 12
14th = 14
13th = 16
12th = 18
11th = 20
10th = 22
9th = 24 plus bonus of 11 (20-9) total 35
8th = 26 plus bonus 12 (20-8) total 38
7th = 28 plus bonus 13 (20-7) total 41
6th = 30 plus bonus 14 (20-6) total 44
5th = 32 plus bonus 15 (20-5) total 47
4th = 34 plus bonus 16 (20-4) total 50
3rd = 36 plus bonus 20 (entrants X 1.0) total 56
2nd = 38 plus bonus 30 (entrants X 1.5) total 68
1st = 40 plus bonus 40 (entrants X 2.0) total 80

New Test leader board. Best 10/16 games.
Based on 16-17 games per month. If 16 games are played, best 10/16. If 8 games are played, two dates will have zeros. If 13 games are played, your bottom 3 scores will be dropped, etc..
An additional leader board game will be added every Sunday at 2 pm ET. With this new system, all games do not have to be played to be champ and there is an added time for convenience.

Seriously, this is an example. No thought was put into score samples, no one take offense.
We are still deciding to sort alphabetically or by score. We have a week to work out details.
