Correct! We really want this to grow and it is so much easier than explaining to newbies why money is taken out of prizepool. Also, we have many players who are not league players and resent paying into a prize pool they are not competing for. Let's reel them in with our charm first

I agree with Dawgg! Please reconsider this being a normal league game with bounties next month. So what is this? Lets take the bounties and run? Never to be seen or play another game that month? Jen do players honestly "resent" paying a extra bux or two?? With the chance at winning FAR more than that in bounties? That does not make sense imo. I use to play lots of $20 and $30 sngs on a different site. I pretty much quit those and just play world games when I can. It is just as fun and better competition with far less headaches imo!! You know I always speak my opinion. Some love to hate me for it. lol IMO someone that resents the extra rake is because they do not feel they can cash in the top 8. Or they are just plain too cheap. Even if I don't plan on making a run for the top 8 I play our games. A extra bux for two hours of fun is worth it imo. So this "resent" is a bunch of bs if you ask me!! Waggie just started playing and it would take a huge miricale for her to make the top 8. But I've never heard her resent or cry about anything. I can about imagine the cry babies that message you about the extra rake!! I'm willing to bet its our lp players also!! I feel catering to the MINORITY is wrong!! ^^^EZ, we are trying to appeal to more than the same old 20 players. If I am tweeting this or shouting out to the people on Facebook, that is over 1200 people who do not play in our league. Trying to explain why they are going to have to get a manual player to player transfer to get paid or why money is deducted from the prize pool is not a smart way to introduce new players to the site. Gary is welcome to run the bounty game how he sees fit, but if LP is going to endorse it and promote it then I am not going to make it so they have to read an instruction manual before participating. It took a lot of work between Gary and I to come up with a nice compromise and I LOVE the new page he created where we can direct newbies to the bounty game policies.

I can certainly see and understand concerns about non league players "taking the money and running" and can certainly sympathize... It's one of the reasons I put a bounty on Myself this time as usually I don't post bounties at all if money is tight, which it is now.

I AM thankful however that this is not a league only event, as I've missed playing poker with ya'll... Heck since My last team play season, I think I've played in two SNGs total... neither of which were with players I really know and enjoy playing against... I just don't have the time, and really don't have the money to put anything into My poker account right now...

My only issues with playing regular league games are the time and the money... Heck, I'd LOVE to play league, I really would, but it would be foolish of Me to pay dues or register for league tournaments knowing that I won't be able to play in most of those games, and knowing that presently, I can't afford to reload My account. The ONLY reason I was able to sign on for this one is that I'll be on "vacation" from watching Grandpa, and I'm 90% sure a good chunk of the renovation work at sunni's will be complete by then... and I'm REALLY looking forward to it. Not only will it give Me a chance to compete with My friends again, but also, if I make a nice chunk of change, then maybe I can afford to be a bit more active, even if it means forfeiting a few tournaments because of time conflicts.

So thanks for making it possible for Me to play with ya'll again, and I'll try not to take TOOO much of the money.... (ok that second part is COMPLETE BS...) and good luck all players...

I see this bounty game as a great way to boost our monthly league prize pool (but others do not agree) ... that little $2 fee that nobody wants to pay in the long run would help the league and LP grow. Bigger monthly league prize pool helps us pull in more players .. players which sign-up and play at LP.

I 100% agree with NOT taking the extra fee for the prize pool for the League. The league game attendance is down, why is that? That little $1 and $2 extra fee adds up.
As for Ezzz talking about LPP members crying, you are making assumptions they are sending her messages..Jen is a smart buisness woman, and she does notice the attendance for games is down.
She is trying to promote the games, and guess what Ezzz, it is very annoying we play and don't know how many places pay out, don't know how much the payouts are, and I have seen new people ask, they are very confused, and say they aren't playing again. They don't understand the League games, and not interested in joining them either.

Last month I took the amount of games I played and multiplied by $1.50...Had I of placed in #8 spot, I would not of even made back the money I placed into the prize pool.
This month I am playing a little different, not spending so much $$ per game, and have a chance at a money spot. I am very happy to see that Chev and Phinz are up on the board.

That "little $2 fee" is not so little when you don't even really play the league games. I know I personally don't play the league games because there are just too too many and I will never be a contender for the prizepool. It's easy to say "only top 10 scores count" when there are so many games. If you play 30 games your bound to do well in 8 of them. When you only play 8-10, if you bomb a few, you're out of the running. So..... That "little $2 fee" adds up quick and I personally don't feel like donating $20 to a pool I have zero shot at.

Sorry I side tracked the bounty game. Cj you talk of number of players being down. Are you fcking serious? Before world holdem we were down to the same damn 8 players each game. Give or take a few. We were lucky if it wasn't canceled some nights!! Please lets not forget that. Geez how memories are short. IMO it is FAR more interesting playing different players. It is NOT the same 20 always either. We've gained a few of those hustler players along with some others. The world games are interesting enough for me to quit my public games. IMO that says a lot!! I will ALWAYS support Jen. But also need to give my view. Fine leave the bounty game alone. Regardless if it has extra rake. I'm tired of the same pukes showing up every bounty game hoping to collect and never posting one. I understand the point of using it as a business tool. But the same players showing over and over for only that game has lost the business aspect. So figured they could pay a extra bux to play it for the good of the league. Btw if one plays even half the games they can make the top 8. I've done it. One or two wins with some average scores puts you there.

I suggest this for a test. I say make a game with NO extra rake Sunday and some other night. I will honestly be surprised if those games last over 3wks. I will also show for every one of those normal games to support it. I just feel people are shooting themselves in the foot complaining about the added rake. Do we not have a decent sized interesting league again? I will always be loyal to LP. I just don't want to see a interesting league taken for granted.
