APRIL Leaderboard Challenge

Well, i did my best to get a side pool going for the April Leaderboard games but this isn't going to happen yet so.....I'm going to lay $5 and start my own pool. If anyone wants to join in the fun, let me know by 4/5/08. Cost will be $5 and will go to the winner among us at the end of the April. I don't mind playing banker but if anyone requests otherwise, I'm sure Niccivan wouldn't mind holding on to our money.....she's a doll. SO...get to PMing me so we can actually have a prize this month for the winner.

I have been trying to get this going for a few months. ROB, Nicci, Jen and I have had some discussions. Our idea was the payouts on the board, would be the same payouts as in the games. I would not be interested in a "winner" takes all, but would interested if there were other payouts according to placement.

Do you mean like a 50% / 30% / 20% payout to TOP 3?

The way i offered was to add an extra $0.50 to each tournament so the buy-in would now be $5 + $1 games(or $4.50 +$1 to keep the price the same). Full Tilt would transfer this extra money to one of the mods accounts to hold to be put in a pool to be distributed at the end of the month to the top winners. This is the best idea imho but alast nothing will be ready by April hence is why i am doing my own flat wager pool of $5/person. If the pool gets big we could consider a prize for 2nd but none currently.

For example, if 20 peeps put in 5 bucks and none of them get 1st, will whoever the next place finisher that contributed get the prize?

I like the idea of you guys doing side pools. Putting a mandatory .50 cent on the games was something we also liked, but was highly debated. Those who don't wish to participate should not have to.

i really like the idea of doing this for leaderboard for a mere 5 bucks per month...i was also thinking it would be a cool idea to have maybe a dollar or so taken out of every 5 and at the end of 12 months u could have championship event with all the prize money from these added to it, for either the winners or maybe just for a larger added prize pool....just a thought, although it would def take a bit more organization to do this.

another thought is that there are going to be a lot of people on the leaderboard who may not want to take part in this, i just want to clarify what would be the logical solution to that by just using the points of those who payed the 5 at the beginning of the month to use towards the leaderboard. I just scrolled up and saw jens post, and this is pretty much exactly what she said, i just would like too re-iterate it. And i would have no problem with VB being the man to hold the $ because you are so i new too the site i do think it would be wise to have one of the seniors do the banking, or one of the admins in case there was ever some kind of dispute.

I like the direction of ur thinking here but i think it would be major chaos scheduling a year-long Leaderboard tournament that contained a Sub-Leaderboard structure. Plus a year is a long time. I like ur thinking though....
