I just assumed War Horse would be another Spielberg epic. I am a huge fan, but won't see it. Its kind of like the Horse Whisperer. Incredible film, but I still have nightmares from the horse disaster in the beginning. I'm on of those crazy fanatic animal lovers that can't bear to see animals struggle even in fictitious circumstances, so I'll have to pass.

George Clooney should win best actor. The film is not exactly an upper. Not sure if it can take Best Picture. Without reading any of the odds or favorites, I would love to see The Help or Moneyball win.

I normally know hands down what is going to win, to be honest, they were all good, but none really stood out as a Oscar Contender. I haven't seen War Horse still and the reviews are not through the roof, but it screams contender. Hugo was good and the voters seem to love Scorsese films.

Its an odd year. Last year it was clear cut - Social Network or Kings Speech. This year, if I had to pick my favorite then as I said, it would be The Help or Moneyball, but its a long shot. I certainly wouldn't bet money.

If you can bet on something bet on Comedy or Musical and pick The Artist.
