Team Play Sub

Captains please keep in mind teams are limited to 6 players so if a team currently has 6 and one is added, a player must be subtracted. once removed by a captain, that player cannot be re-added to the team or picked up by another team during the session. the subtracted player would be ineligible to play for the remainder of the session.

if a team has 5 players and needs to fill their final spot, that person becomes part of the team. there are no roaving subs.

is there a deadline when we can't add a 6th player? If I start with five, and then pick up a player in the second week, is that ok?

as Captain you can fill your roster at your discretion so yes you can add a player after team play begins.

just be warned that if you add a player very late in the season and if your team is in contention people will complain.

Here is a thought, just throwing it out there. We have several players that I know of who really want to play, but we are maxed out at 10 teams right now.

Since we are capped, can we now allow for 1 alternate player who won't necessarily take a cut of the prizepool, but will be allowed in the team's quarters and can be a sub if needed.
I am just thinking about the newbies and some seasoned players who should really get a taste of what team play is all about. Just throwing it out there. We have a bunch of people interested and since they are unknown players were left available. It would be a chance for their play to be seen and for them to get a taste of team play.

My thoughts exactly! I especially recall in the waning weeks of last season there were several tables that were 5 or 6 handed...not as much fun! I have had to turn away potential subs on my team already....sure would like to have a designated sub "just in case"...ya never know when my mug will wind up on America's Most Wanted and I have to go on the lam

if the "sub" can only play for 1 team, then the roster size increases to 7 not 6 as stated.

if they get no cut of team money or even play unless absolutely necessary how much time/experience will they gain?

as for players bailing at the end, there is really nothing that can be done. if a team falls out of contention and the players fail to register and play there are no consequences that can be imposed short of barring them for competing in future Team Play sessions.

as for access to team forums, Captains can invite whoever they like there. i've had Stevie as a member of my team forum for a year now although he has yet to play an actual game as a member of the Kings. when he asked to play once and i scheduled him for the final week all hell broke loose.
