Team Play

Need some input....

LP has been planning a network change for quite some time as we have thankfully outgrown our current network. The forum really only makes up about 12% of our business. I can't give you the specifics because I don't know them exactly. It is for this reason, we have been hesitant in starting a 3 month team session. Thinking now on it, I suppose even if we do make a change, the worst case scenario is we are down a day or 2 and extend the league session.

I honestly cannot answer questions about where or when we are going until the contracts are signed. I can say that due to new information, I am fairly confident no changes will be made until after the new year.

In any case, several of you have been asking about team play. We team play here (even though it is like pulling teeth getting you all to register). I really hope once we start up that if you are a fan, you will help encourage your fellow friends and players to sign up as well. So, all that being said - we could start team perhaps the 2nd week of Jan for a 2 or 3 month session or we could have a month in December. In our past experience, holidays are always a problem to man up teams, so I really didn't consider this down time a big loss. Mastro and I are completely on board having another session, but we'd like to hear from you.

What are you interested in seeing? 1 month, 2 months, 3 months? Mastro is the man in charge here, but due to the difficulty in getting sign ups on time, I am really curious as to what the players want, so hopefully we will have an easier time with registrations.

Also, as always games will be held on Sundays, but we will have to either have an early week day game or cancel the donkfest or Thursday game. I hate to cancel the Thursday broadcast game because it is definitely our most popular game. Maybe we should consider Saturdays so the Aussie(s) can play. We could possible make it 3 months and just play once a week early Sunday afternoons which would certainly be easier to man up. We could have more teams with 4 person teams which means not playing short handed. 3 players per week, we cap out at the first 30 who sign up and have 3 10 man tables. Just rambling thoughts out loud here. Would love to hear some more.

WHL League game is later on Tues and attendance is low...What about B4 WHL on Tues?

2 months Jan & Feb, $30 or $40 buy in.

We could do 8 est on tuesdays I suppose. If we do twice a week, then as always we will need 5 person teams which means 6 or 7 handed tables. It won't take more than 2 hours to play and may even get more players in the WHL game Tuesday night.

one of the ideas i've been kicking around for some time now is forming our own teams. YES, THAT'S RIGHT!! CAPTAINS FORM YOUR OWN 5+ PLAYER TEAMS. the only drawback i see is that some players may not be asked to join a team which would be really sad. on the flip side i think we would get more participation from our WHL players along with Hold'em Radio players if they could come in with their own teams. it is something to consider.

so we want to hear from you. i especially want to hear from our current league players and get some feedback.

absolutely love team play , but for myself personally, my only nights 100% available are mondays and saturdays!!!

Having an earlier Tuesday Team game,
IMO, this would help get more attendance for the WHL game.

I am in agreement with Rob, seeing more participation from HR and WHL in Team Play. If that means getting rid of the draft aspect, then that's what we should do. I am kinda scared of that trollmax dude, and I am quite certain he is one of Wades group!

HR--LP--and WHL and Hustlers all have great players...

We have always done Sunday, I know...is Sat not an option? That Gator dude I want on my team!

The other thing too Jen, instead of dropping donkfest on Monday, make it a bit later and have the Team Play at 8pm est. Maybe we would get more donkeys wanting to take out their frustration coz they just blew it for their team....ya know, make lots of donk moves with lots of rebuys?
