ok im confused--blog says ENTRY $10 with a portion goin to help fund a couple things---ok so i sent entry for 3 of us n whn i go to reg--it say $5.50 buyiin-wtf is this? please explain-i have no prob at all helpin fund this site or TOC but ur blog is most misleading imo---have spent 30 bucks already n gonna cost me another $16.50 to actualy play?>--not likin this at all--who do i need to talk to? is it gonna b possible to get my 30 bucks back?

Being a "Newer" member of this site , I would like to point out that when first reading this banner for the GLOP tourney...I would take it that the $10 buy in for the GLOP would consist of the $5.50 buy in for the tourney ...with the additional $4.50 going for supporting the TOC and LuvinPokerForum. But it is my understanding NOW, that the total cost to play the GLOP tourney is going to be $15.50. I am just pointing out that the wording of this banner is (would be) confusing to some that are not familiar with the way things work on this site.

Because this is only a once a year event we like to make it special for our competitors and offer a generous prizepool and a title of being the best female player here at LP. With only 17 entrants we still are very generous and pay top 5.

In my opinion the banner reads very clear that there is a $10 entry fee which goes to the prizepool and a $5.50 registration fee. Knowing what a pro Mastro is at organizing these special events, he would certainly not want to mislead anyone. We have done it this way for years, but if there is a discrepancy then we will be sure to make corrections in the future. These events take a lot of time and planning for Mastro, myself and other volunteers. Our next event is for the Gentlemen of LP and then we face off for a Kings vs Queens event. Another option might be increasing the entry fee and having a $0 buy in. This is annual event that we try to make everyone feel "special" who participates. (If you notice the award's showcase, this is also how players achieve their ribbons, trophies and bracelets.)

I am really happy to see a few newbies playing and are planning on continued growth. We continue to strive to make them better and appreciate your suggestions more than you realize.

i guess there is a first time for everything. Special Events and Team Play have been set up the same way for 3 years.

the post PLAINLY states, Entry Fee $10, Tournament Cost $5.50. if you want out, simply UNREGISTER for the event and i'll ask RC to send you back your entry fee.

Judy, playing in this special event will qualify all of you to play in the TOC game here...Funds have been adding up to that prize pool all year,
it's a great tourney...The prize pool is nice..Funds from Team play and other events get added to the prize pool.
